Accessibility Statement

We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you do have any queries please call us on 01208 832340.

Our peaceful, rural location means that methods of public transport are very limited. The nearest bus stop is in the village of Lanivet (approx. 2 miles away) Buses run hourly and the service stops early in the evening. The nearest train station, Bodmin Parkway, is approximately 5 miles away; there are usually accessible taxis at the station, but we can book one in advance for you if required.

The town of Bodmin is located 5 miles away with banks, shopping centre and pharmacies. There are 3 out of town supermarkets (Morrisons, Sainsburys, Asda( 24hours)) a 10 minute drive away with cashpoints.

The Cottage

The Cottage is self contained in its own private garden. Whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests, there are some period features, which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility. Being a 16th Century listed Cottage it does have a number of steps and stairs and therefore, unfortunately, is not suitable for wheelchair access.

Parking is on a level car park space beside the Cottage. 4 steps with a handrail lead down to the Cottage. There is a small step up into the Cottage kitchen. Downstairs one room leads to the next. All downstairs rooms have slate or solid oak flooring, the bathroom has solid oak flooring, the bedrooms and stairs are carpeted. Décor is contrasting with light walls and dark wooden doors. The cottage is central heated throughout- temperatures can be adjusted to suit individual requirements. Teletext is available on all televisions – located in the sitting room and both bedrooms (all with remote controls). The bathroom has a bath with over–bath shower, WC and basin . There is also a downstairs wash room with WC and hand basin.

Patio doors lead from the sunroom to the patio area. It has a wooden table and chairs and has 6 steps leading up to a lawn area.

Outdoor Facilities

We will gladly show guests around the farm (It's a good idea to bring your wellies!) The ground may be uneven and slippery in some areas. The Highland cattle can be viewed from the farm lane.
